The job itself:

The opportunity has arisen for us to recruit an additional Assistant Safe Communities Officer, to work within the Domestic Violence and Abuse Partnership (DVAP).

The base for this post is yet to be agreed, however DVAP support blended working.

Essential qualifications/experience required (please see job profile/person specification for more details):

Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
Understanding of the types of behaviour that constitute domestic abuse
Experience of receiving calls direct from members of the public/agencies/distressed clients

We are looking for someone who will be an initial point of contact for enquiries into the DVAP Team; this will include victims/survivors of domestic abuse and partner agencies.

The post will involve taking referrals, gathering information and liaising with other professionals.

The postholder will also be responsible for collating and preparing statistical reports and will assist with the coordination of marketing and publicity for the DVAP Team.

You should be able to work on your own initiative, but also perform as part of a wider team in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
