- Supervising approximately four team members
- Overseeing the production of financial management reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance depending on the audience
- Leading the development of a value-added financial reporting pack
- Communicating key messages effectively and translating them into actionable insights
- Producing rolling forecasts and identifying risks and opportunities
- Driving efficiencies from financial reporting software and other packages
- Leading operational process and procedural improvements, leveraging AI where applicable
- Representing the FP&A function across the Group
- Occasionally deputising for senior management as required
- Contributing to long-term plans and models
- Participating in ad-hoc projects such as investment case modelling
- Collaborating with other Business Operations colleagues to drive best practices
About you - Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a professional services business
- Approximately five years PQE from ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Accountancy practice trained
- Working knowledge of the Property sector and Partnership model
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise effectively, and deliver results
- Highly collaborative and outcome-focused approach
- Focus on delivering high-quality outputs with clear articulation of key messages
- Ability to simplify complex problems and articulate solutions clearly

With the recent implementation of the NetSuite by Oracle system, our focus has shifted towards enhancing and refining our processes. The appointment of the Head of FP&A is crucial as we evolve to deliver more value-added services to the business.
As the Head of FP&A, you'll collaborate closely with the Commercial Finance Director, supporting the CFO and Department Management Teams in financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis. Although based in Cambridge, occasional travel to our regional offices will be necessary as the role supports the entire business.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing regular reporting such as monthly management accounts and quarterly forecasting cycles, as well as developing tailored management information for different service lines within the firm. A significant aspect of this role involves fostering commercial relationships across Bidwells and tailoring communication to specific audiences, demonstrating credibility and confidence with senior stakeholders.
You'll need to adopt a business partnering approach and utilise your experience to implement iterative improvements and larger-scale changes as necessary. Collaboration with other members of the FP&A function, the Head of Statutory Reporting, and the Finance Business Operations Director will be essential.
