    Role Overview:

    We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented analyst that can also support our Health and Safety team in a challenging industrial environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

    This role will suite a recent graduate in Chemistry/Early careers candidate. with a real interest in health and safety

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of environment, health and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.
  • Collect samples for analysis in an accurate and representative way.
  • Use a range of analytical equipment to provide fast and accurate data to a dynamic fabrication facility. Maintain equipment and analysis records in a way that complies with internationally recognized standards.
  • Prepare and present complex data to a diverse audience in a way that is relevant and actionable.
  • Provide advice and support to departments on environment, health and safety matters, including safe chemical handling and disposal.
  • Coordinate and conduct environment, health and safety training sessions for employees, including induction training for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents.
  • Liaise with department managers to address
  • Assist in managing workplace safety committees and meetings.
  • Support internal and external health and safety audits.
  • Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of chromatography and mass spectrometry analysis techniques.
  • Experience working in a lab environment and with hazardous materials preferred.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • An understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant health and safety management software.
