- Provide AV and technical support across all meeting rooms/Events spaces/Auditoriums in the UK & regional offices.
- Each UK office will have, at minimum, a site visit to test and reset cabling once every 6 months.
- If a site requires an immediate visit this can be coordinated by the onsite team leader within days
- Travel will adhere to the client's policy where trains are used wherever possible. Agreed travel and accommodation rates will be agreed in advance and over spend will require approval ahead of booking
- Perform L1/L2 incident management
- Raise incidents in Service Now and update incidents to the AV Manager.
- Demonstrate Self Service AV and VC Capabilities to end users wherever possible
- Carry out proactive health checks in accordance with SOP
- Service continuity support including preparation for and restoration of service from Power Downs, Black Building Exercises and other planned or unplanned Business Continuity Management activities
- Assist with software/firmware upgrades
- Assist with support for video/audio conferencing problems. Investigate faults and recommend further actions to rectify
- Ensure all multi-media / presentation rooms are maintained in good working order
- Assist with support for multi-media broadcasting/hybrid events
- Quick response to emergency/ad-hoc requests
- Assist, where possible, with IT related enquiries during supports. Escalate issues if required
- Running AV events, including pre-event testing of audio, video feeds / wireless microphone battery levels etc.
- Live Audio / Vision mixing
- Camera set-up / operation
- Zoom / Teams call set-up and operation for hybrid events
- To assist management of high-profile events and become a trusted advisor.
- To escalate any operational issues to the appropriate level of support and make suggestions for improvements.
- To report any hardware failures in a timely manner.
- To produce event reports which highlights the use of space.
- Ensure all event spaces are maintained in good working order.
- AV equipment set-up and support.
- Presentation/multi-media meeting room support, including duration support.
- Assist with support for multi-media broadcasting.
- Quick response to emergency/ad-hoc requests.
- Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure.
- Ensure that all faults are reported in the correct way and in a timely manner.
- Proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all events equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly.
- Assist with first line fault repairs.
- Carry out all power down/up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments.
- Advise clients on best practice
- Provide regular feedback on communication issues and service improvements
- Assist with training of new starters and freelancers
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Be flexible and assist the team in all areas of the department
- Manual handling tasks will be required when necessary for moving equipment
- A working knowledge of networks
- Two years industry experience in fields relating to AV and VC activity
- Experience of client facing responsibilities in a corporate environment

ROLE SUMMARY
The AV Maintenance Engineers' prime function is to provide AV technical support across all meeting rooms/Event spaces/Auditoriums across our client's campus.
The position involves a high degree of exposure, working sometimes with executive management and regional contacts to provide the services below.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
All services should be delivered punctually at scheduled times and in accordance with agreed SLA's. The National Hardware Engineer is expected to deliver a high level of customer service and provide proactive and reactive support efficiently.
The AV Maintenance Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
