    Senior Planning Engineer
    Location:

    Turner Lovell is hiring for a rapidly expanding international EPC contractor with a robust pipeline of HVDC, HV-AC, and offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe.

    We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Planning professional with a solid background in HV Transmission & Distribution to actively contribute to project management support for multi-disciplinary projects by overseeing planning, scheduling, and control processes.

    Offering guidance, assistance, and providing clear fact-based insights to key management queries to facilitate intelligent and efficient decision-making.

    The ideal candidate should possess construction site experience, advanced knowledge of Primavera 6, and be competent in supporting contract variations and claims. The successful candidate will hold the position of Senior Planning Engineer and exhibit expertise in:
    • experience in planning major turnkey infrastructure projects
    • Primavera P6 user
    • risk management processes and tools
    • managing small teams within a large project
    • cost control function and interface with schedule on large turnkey projects
    • relevant industry knowledge within the Renewable Energy / Power Generation sector
    • applying forensic analysis on large turnkey projects
    This role involves working on:

    the project baseline, obtaining approval from clients and internal stakeholders project schedule and resource forecasts throughout the project lifecycles schedule and trends, communicating projected schedule risks to the project team, proposing risk mitigation measures maintaining a register of potential schedule and cost risks in collaboration with the Risk Manager tasks like controlling schedule movements, comparing them with the current scope, progress, and past forecasts. Ensuring task durations and logic are comprehended and endorsed by task owners developing internal and external project reports on project status teamwork with 3rd parties on project schedule interfaces and maintaining an interface register providing transparent time schedule data, participating in project and management reviews to report schedule status calculating time-related aspects to ensure precise change order schedule/cost estimates ensuring synchronization between P6 schedule and approved cost phasing with the Cost Controller leading a team of Project Planning Engineers on large and intricate projects assumption of complete responsibility for planning output on assigned projects as part of the project controls function collaborating with task and resource owners to devise strategies for reducing durations and manhours ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the project controls team
