    Description

    Our client is a global facilities management and building services organisation who are looking to expand their already existing UK workforce of They were founded in 1985 by a family and to this day they still are a family run company.     Due to continued success within a major blue-chip contract, they are now recruiting for a Lighting Electrician covering sites throughout Devon.

    Job Purpose:

    Responsible for the lighting planned maintenance and emergency repair work in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.

    The successful candidate would be receiving a basic salary of £34,430 + company van & fuel card + private health care + paid travel time + great overtime rates + pension scheme + more

    General Education

    Educated to GCSE / Standard Grade level Professional/Academic/ Vocational Qualifications

    NVQ Level 3/City and guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/Maintenance.

    18th Edition

    Specialist Requirements

    Electrical – Edition Wiring Regulations is essential.

    Basic installation of lighting in stores, e.g. cable glands, conduits, track, light density and spread, cable types and loadings is essential.

    Ability to maintain/repair the full range of lighting equipment in a number of stores to recognised standards, e.g. filament, fluorescent, mercury vapour, sodium, low voltage, car park

    Ability to locate electrical feeds to lighting systems and follow safe isolation procedures pre and post works

    Ability to mark up distribution legends within supply boards if required

    Ability to work at heights and competent in the use of steps and ladders.

    Ability to distinguish colours to the standard required for lighting.
