    Description
    New wage agreements in Queensland make working in Emergency Medicine very desirable indeed. In Queensland, Emergency Medical Practitioners get an additional 25% allowance (applied on base salary).

    Total first year remuneration package is up to (depending on years of specialist experience - 9 years) $630k + oncall, call back allowances etc.

    ~ Emergency Medicine specialty allowance - 25% of base salary.
    ~1st year $20,000 incentive allowance.
    ~ 75% employer pension contributions (superannuation).
    ~6weeks CME leave allowance.
    ~ Annual Vehicle allowance up to $25,000.

    Rockhampton has excellent housing options on nearby beaches (such as Yeppoon) or in rainforest hinterland to suit singles, couples and families.

    It has private as well as government primary and secondary schools with a good choice of child care centres.
    Quality, safety and risk.
    Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) certification.
    Significant experience in emergency medicine.
    Willingness to work on roster for weekends, public holidays etc.
    Demonstrated commitment to continuous medical education.
