    Join Our Team as a Client Quant Developer at Desktop Build Group - London

    Quantitative investment funds have experienced substantial growth over the past decade, and Bloomberg is at the forefront of this financial evolution. Our Solutions Engineering Team collaborates closely with clients to implement quantitative investment strategies using our cutting-edge Python Quant platform. This platform, powered by JupyterLab, combines premier Python libraries with the leading financial database globally, enabling clients to conduct unique research in quantitative finance to gain a competitive edge.

    As part of our global team spanning major cities like London, New York, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney, you will engage with top quantitative finance experts to bring their investment ideas to life. A role filled with exciting challenges, you'll leverage your financial expertise to guide clients in developing and implementing their quantitative strategies on our Python-based quant platform, utilizing advanced data science to formulate real-world investment models throughout the entire development life cycle.

    Your Role:

    • Position our quant platform to prospective clients, showcasing leadership in the quantamental universe
    • Collaborate with clients to encode their investment processes into implemented strategies on our quant platform
    • Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams for platform enhancements
    • Offer ongoing support to clients for seamless adoption
    • Assist in the development of resources and tools to enhance client service

    You Will Learn:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of quantitative strategies across various sectors such as Equities, ESG, Fixed Income, and Commodities
    • Hands-on experience with the Bloomberg Terminal, a leading financial analytics platform
    • Advanced training in data science, quantitative strategies, and capital markets
    • Exploration of Python technologies for data visualizations and analytics

    Your Skills and Experience:

    • Proficiency in Python programming
    • Experience in big data analysis and machine learning within the finance domain
    • Knowledge of equity, Fixed Income, and Credit quantitative investment strategies
    • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
    • Strong communication skills for client interactions
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior front office experience in financial markets on the buy side
    • Familiarity with programming languages like R or VBA
    • Experience or certifications in cloud computing
