- GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician.
- BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmacy services.
- Accredited Checking Technician.
- 2 years experience in community or primary care pharmacy (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- Clear, polite telephone manner.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages and case management systems.
- Knowledge of the principles of medication optimisation.
- Good pharmacy knowledge including terminology.
- An appreciation of the nature of primary care prescribing, concepts of rational prescribing and strategies for improvement of prescribing.
- Knowledge and understanding of pharmacy law and ethics and current legislation.
- Understanding of current national policies, in particular those that impact on medicines management services.
- Effective time management (planning & organising).
- High levels of analytical literacy skills.
- Organised with good time management.
- Ability to follow policy and procedure.

- Understanding of QOF. About Us We are a training site for both nurses and recently doctors. The partners are extremely keen to develop staff skills, they will encourage and support throughout. We have a multitude of staff that have changed job roles from administrative and gone on to train within a clinical role. The two sites work closely with our PCN, monthly meetings are held with the practice managers who are able to feed back to all staff new services available and support that is offered. We are fully digital with a triage system which has been in place since August last year, which works extremely well, this was implemented to run in line with the GMS contract changes. About the RoleNorth Shoebury Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join an experienced and supportive team within our primary care network. You will be based at North Shoebury but will be required to travel between ourselves and our other site in Thorpe Bay. This role is offered on a full-time basis, for hours per week Monday - Friday and the contract will include annual leave entitlement and NHS pension. A full induction will be provided by the clinical lead and management team across all sites, you will have the opportunity to shadow clinicians, and build a good working relationship during the induction along with an understanding how the team work well together.
