    Job Summary

    Seeking a proactive and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Neurorehabilitation team at Snowdon ward. This role offers the chance to deliver top-notch rehabilitation to our inpatients and is perfect for an OT keen on personal growth and becoming a clinical expert.

    Join a collaborative team with supportive management that values innovation, quality improvement, and staff well-being. Work alongside experienced professionals in the field for peer support and development opportunities.

    The position involves a range of tasks, including enhancing assessment and treatment skills, conducting patient assessments, and honing management abilities. As a specialized OT, you will focus on cognitive rehab, posture management, and upper limb treatments.

    Main Duties of the Job

    Be part of Solent's Futures Project, collaborating with a new state-of-the-art rehabilitation center at Western Community Hospital. Snowdon specializes in adult neurorehabilitation, offering a level 2 Unit service.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Lead, plan, and coordinate service delivery
    • Provide specialist therapy intervention
    • Deputise for operational lead when needed
    • Undertake evidence-based projects
    • Offer advice and instruction to promote patient care

      Person Specification

      Qualifications

      Essential

      • Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
      • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist
      • Evidence of study at Masters' level

        • Desirable

        • Member of Royal College of Occupational Therapy
        • Member of an appropriate Special Interest Group

          • Experience

          Essential

          • Post-registration experience in relevant setting
          • Proven ability to make decisions in complex situations
          • Demonstrated Clinical Leadership
          • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively

            • Desirable

            • Experience in practice placement education
            • Providing teaching/training for student/staff needs
