We are looking for a Global Product Leader - Long Tail (M/F/d), based in Munich or London.


Your Team
Your main stakeholders, beside your manager, are your team colleages, the product leaders for Specialty and Short Tail business.

As an expert, you will be in close cooperation with the liability experts worldwide to share best practice and to ensure a successful implementation of our product strategy.


The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Head of Product Lifecycle & Innovation, you will join the team as a Global Product Leader

  • Long Tail, who will be responsible for proactively supporting the development and execution of the Global Product Lifecycle Mgt strategy.


In this role, you will develop and implement new and modified products for the Lines of Business globally, steer and act as an integral part of the Global Product Management team in its core functions of: Driving Wording best practice, product simplification and alignment cross Lines of Business, innovation and thought leadership with a focus on Long Tail products, providing governance frame for Lifecycle Mgt.


These activities include product design, product digitalization, review of existing Products and support on x-line and/ or Major Product/ Wording analytics projects.


Some of your specific responsibilities could include

  • Proactively support the development and implementation of AGCS transformation initiatives, in line with AGCS transformation strategy
  • Contribute to developing a global product strategy and define a product transformation strategy for the product scope within responsibility
  • Proactively drive design, development and implementation of new and modified products to meet Lines of Business needs and strategic plans
  • Design and develop global reference wordings and clauses in liaison with relevant stakeholders (e.g. Legal and Compliance)
  • Ensure (in close collaboration with Product Architecture team) that product is embedded in AGCS data model including effective pricing strategies.
  • Focus on Long Tail Products (mainly Liability and Financial Lines) in line with background and experience
  • Build a global network of product experts from the Lines of
  • Proactively monitor LoB product portfolio and take corrective measures to ensure target achievement as required
  • Drive xLoB and xfunctional collaboration and exchange to ensure product strategy being fully embedded in AGCS strategies and initiatives
  • Communicate product strategy to internal and external stakeholders

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Proven technical knowledge in a Long Tail Line of Business, with significant experience in the international insurance market, with deep understanding for product, wording and underlying exposure. Understanding of market trends and product requirements
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of wording drafting and interpretation gained in product development, claims or legal role: Ability to design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings
  • Good understanding of Legal and Regulatory requirements relating to industrial insurance products
  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues before they transpire, ability to quickly identify guiding principles in complex scenarios
  • Strong understanding of requirements of business transformation on product architecture and wordings
  • Proven Communication & Presentation skills: Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally. Ability to "sell" an audience winning story
  • Fluent English skills
