    Job Description

    Position Summary

    Perform structural analysis and design of various sizes of metal storage tanks from bolted to welded, liquid and dry bulk storage, various options and roofing structures, anywhere from 8 to 250 ft in diameter and 8 to 200 ft tall. Responsible for engineering design; supporting sales, drafting and manufacturing on quotes and orders. Also required to review drawings and/or provide design calculations as needed. Manage Factory Mutual and LPCB approvals. Provide engineering support for CST UK's South Normanton facility. Work with CST software developers to maintain CST engineering design software. Support and assist other CST engineers around the world as needed.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform liquid bolted tank design, tank foundations, and structural calculations.
    • Review and approve drawings and structural design calculations.
    • Perform designs on time for sales requests and sales orders according to the schedule.
    • Process Factory Mutual Design and LPCB Approvals
    • Work with CST application developers

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering.
    • Basic ACAD and/or solid modeling experience
    • Basic Excel macro programming experience a plus
    • FEA experience a plus
    • Willing to travel 10% of time
    • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
    • Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
    • High proficiency with computers skills, including email, MS Office 365
    • Knowledge of liquid tanks specific structural design standards a plus
    • Basic Python and java programming experience a plus

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Modern office is well equipped with essential facilities.
    • Most work days are 9 hours. Workload can range from 8 to 12 hrs per day as business ramps up and down.
