Description
My client is a Top 100 Manchester Law firm and they have a vacancy for a Paralegal to join the Personal Injury department, Travel Litigation team based in their head office in Manchester.
The role will be supporting a Partner and a Senior Associate with their caseloads, working alongside another paralegal/trainee, and will be an excellent opportunity to learn and develop legal knowledge and skills in a niche area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the team, who are ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers for their experience and knowledge, and will work on a variety of cases, including fatal accidents and cases of a catastrophic nature.

Role & ResponsibilitiesWork will include (but not be limited to) tasks such as:Frequent client contact, liaising with clients and updating on case progress drafting of client and witness statementspreparing instructions to medical and non-medical expertsdrafting Schedules of Loss and court documentsrequesting, reviewing and collating medical recordsdrafting instructions to counselresearching case law on liability and quantumliaising with clients and updating on case progresspreparing court bundlesattending court hearings, client meetings and conferencesdealing with billing and disbursement paymentsHybrid working is available.
Skills and Experience RequiredTravel litigation experience is not essential, but applicants must have at least 12 months' experience of personal injury work, ideally with experience of litigated cases.
An understanding of Personal Injury law from academic studies is desirable.Applicants should also be able to demonstrate:
