Description
Our client is a leading fitout and refurbishment contractor specialising in transforming commercial, education, leisure, and residential spaces into functional, aesthetically pleasing environments.
The Estimator will play a pivotal role in accurately assessing project costs, preparing competitive bids, and contributing to the successful execution of projects within budgetary constraints.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
Utilise expertise in construction methods, materials, and labour to accurately estimate project costs based on architectural drawings, specifications, and site visits.
Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids by analysing project requirements, soliciting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and assessing potential risks and opportunities.
Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost optimization and value engineering while maintaining project quality standards.Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, address challenges, and develop accurate cost estimates that align with client expectations.
Maintain organised and up-to-date records of cost estimates, bid proposals, and relevant project documentation to facilitate decision-making and project tracking.
Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project estimates and develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project profitability.
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, ideally with a focus on fitout and refurbishment projects (not a deal breaker).
