    Description

    Creative Hospitality Interior Designer

    We are in search of talented designers to join our London studio at SMC Design, where creativity flows in every corner.

    As a vital part of our team, you will play a crucial role in crafting top-notch designs that elevate the projects for various brands in the maritime sector.

    Requirements:

    • Educational background: Degree or diploma with 5+ years of post-graduate experience
    • Proficiency in creative design methodologies

    Key Qualifications:

    • Demonstrable experience in hospitality/retail design
    • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience

    As a creative designer, you should have a track record of leading projects from start to finish, showcasing your ability to deliver outstanding designs either autonomously or as part of a team.

    The ideal candidate will exhibit continuous improvement in project success, idea development, and execution, supported by a compelling narrative to validate their designs. You should excel in concept layout and aligning with SMC's brand principles.

    Skills:

    • Proficient in conceptual design, color usage, and texture application
    • Advanced skills in VectorWorks, Photoshop, SketchUp, and MS Office
    • Knowledge of FF&E (materials, finishes, detailing, and scheduling)
    • Fluency in CAD software (2D and 3D) and familiarity with Studio software
    • Strong communication skills and ability to receive feedback positively
    • Effective time and project management
    • Experience collaborating with contractors, architects, and engineers
    • Attention to detail and creative plan generation
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

    Responsibilities:

    • Proactively manage internal deadlines and design standards
    • Visualize and communicate concepts effectively
    • Develop detailed designs and select materials
    • Deliver designs aligned with brand values
    • Utilize 2D and 3D tools for design communication
    • Create visual packages for artists
    • Oversee the creative process from conception to final CGI
