    Trading Analyst - Energy Analytics - Market Leading Independent Power Producer
    A market-leading independent power producer is seeking an established trading analyst to join their Analytics Team.

    The pivotal role focuses on the analysis and optimisation of trading positions, risk mitigation strategies and supporting traders and quant teams in trading strategies, model development and power market analysis.

    The role sits centrally within the analytics team, collaborating closely with Quants, Data Science and Traders.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to be the subject matter expert and play a pivotal role in the formation of the company's power trading desk.

    Conduct in-depth analysis of UK energy market trends, supply-demand dynamics, regulatory developments, and competitor strategies to inform trading decisions.


    • Be the subject matter expert in power market analysis
    • Develop and implement tools and frameworks for analysis
    • Support the traders in strategies, analysis, hedging and functional support
    Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field. MBA, MFE, PhD) preferred.


    • Proficiency in fundamental analysis, quantitative analysis, statistical modelling, and programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar tools.
