School Finance Officer | Barking & Dagenham

Looking for an experienced professional in school finance eager to join a dynamic school environment?

We are in search of a proactive School Finance Officer to become a vital part of an outstanding academy located in Barking & Dagenham. As the School Finance Officer, your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless financial operations by overseeing day-to-day financial processes and administrative tasks.

Thriving in action, you will handle responsibilities such as collecting payments from students for various activities and necessary expenses using the ParentPay system, streamlining the process for efficiency.

Additionally, as a School Finance Officer, you will be responsible for managing order request forms, meticulously attending to every detail. Your role will involve obtaining authorizations, coding, and processing purchase orders and invoices behind the scenes. With meticulous attention to detail, you will reconcile accounts, ensuring timely payments to suppliers for their contributions to the academy's thriving environment. From organizing payment runs to posting monthly sales invoices, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and ensuring revenue collection on time.

School Finance Officer Role
Salary Range: £27,000 - £31,000 annually (pro-rata)
Working Hours: 36 hours per week; (Full-time, term-time only)
Commencement Date: Immediate

School Finance Officer Requirements:

Proven experience in managing administrative and financial systems, preferably within a school setting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, familiarity with PSF financials is advantageous.
Experience with financial databases, willingness to learn new technologies confidently.
Knowledge of financial systems and processes.
A genuine passion for students' potential and a strong belief in it.
