    JOB PURPOSE


    To ensure all attendance and absence records are completed accurately and in a timely manner To provide an efficient and courteous service to staff, students, visitors and callers to Lode Heath School.

    WORK PERFORMED

    Contact parents/ carers when their child is absent from school following absence protocols Update attendance/ absence records using feedback from parents/ carers Support with the accurate completion of registers Provide leaders with attendance information as requested Respond to absence requests via letter Support the Education Welfare & Attendance Manager with the administration related to fixed penalty notices Liaise with the Education Welfare & Attendance Manager, and others, over attendance/ absence concerns Support the Education Welfare & Attendance Manager with the ongoing monitoring and improvement of student attendance Provide support as part of the administration team


    For example:
    answering the telephone, covering reception inc. the student reception, updating information records and databases; producing mail merge letters. To undertake other duties, as required, as appropriate to the grade of the post.
