    Description

    GPW Recruitment are seeking a talented Machine Operator to Join our busy client who take pride in being the UK's largest manufacturer of high-quality quarry screens and screens used within the quarrying and recycling equipment industry. As a Machine Operator, you would be responsible for operating metal weaving machines to create high-quality woven metal screens and meshes. You will set up the machines. adjust them for different materials and patterns, and monitor the weaving process to ensure the final products meet the required specifications. You will also be required to inspect the finished screens for any defects and make necessary adjustments. It's a crucial role in producing metal screens for various industries.

    Work hours and benefits:

    ??Work Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 17:30, Friday: 08:00 - 13:30

    ?? Hourly Rate: £11.50/hr, paid weekly

    ?? 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)

    - All Training is provided for the metal weaving aspect of the role.

    Responsibilities:

    - Operate metal weaving machines to produce woven metal products according to specifications

    - Set up and adjust weaving machines for different materials and patterns

    - Monitor the weaving process to ensure quality and efficiency

    - Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary adjustments

    - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the weaving process

    - Maintain a clean and organised work area

    - Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols

    Requirements:

    - Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment.

    -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

    - Strong attention to detail and quality control.

    - Basic Maths skills for measurements and calculations.

    - Ability to use and read a tape measure.

    - Ability to stand still in the same place for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

    - Ability to work independently.

    - Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
