    Description

    The FirmWe have been mandated by the Family Office of one of the founders of a leading Global Hedge Fund on a search at circa 2-6PQE for an In-House Tax Counsel to join their dynamic and collegiate business.

    This specific opportunity will be exclusively for the family office function comprising the private business of the Founder Partner and certain areas of the Hedge Fund business, but separate to the core business line.

    The RoleIn this newly created role, the incoming Legal Counsel will work closely with the Head of Tax across a range of tax matters primarily focused on corporate and investment activity.

    You will need to have a strong understanding of transactional legal and tax considerations in a relevant private practice or In-House Tax team.

    Advising on tax matters, the use of trusts for tax planning and asset protection purposes and how to deal with succession issues etc.

    Advising on acquisitions and investments, sales and restructurings of business assets (including real estate and fintech investments) and joint ventures.

    Management and development of corporate and tax structures within the family office Experience Requirements:
    Circa 2-6 years PQE
    • Legal Tax experience at either a top tier private practice or In-House institution.
    Excellent academic record.
    Ambitious, motivated, ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment.
