- Riverdale Grange Hospital provides a service to 9 adolescent patients and 9 adult patients who may detained under the Mental Health Act or undergoing treatment on a voluntary basis.
- The post-holder will be required to work as a registered nurse within an MDT across the eating disorder service.
- The post holder will be required to lead a team within a shift context, managing the ward in the absence of the ward manger.
- The post-holder will join the MDT and will be required to provide support and supervision to junior staff, as agreed with the Senior Management Team. Number of staff supervised/managed: Variable according to experience

Main duties of the job
Role Context:
The post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team within either the Adolescent or Adult mental health service. They will be responsible for delivering a high standard of nursing care to patients and their families. The post holder will demonstrate empathic understanding, compassion and positive regard in maintaining the ethos of the ward and values of the hospital.
The basis of the role will be to lead the nursing team in the development and maintenance of a therapeutic environment which supports patients in making positive changes. As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will support and uphold a recovery focussed structured programme of treatment.
