Description
We are currently recruiting to a Senior Practitioner Psychologist or Senior Psychological Therapist in our service.You will be joining a friendly and committed group of psychological professionals within a wider multidisciplinary team, dedicated to the provision of evidence-based, trauma-informed care to those in our communities.
You would be based in Chichester Assessment and Treatment Service, a community team providing treatment and support to people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties such as psychosis, complex emotional needs (CEN) and complex PTSD.
We are looking for individuals with excellent clinical skills, an aptitude for engaging positively with colleagues, service users, and the wider community.
You will be able to think creatively with partnership organisations, modelling our strong commitment to trauma-informed approaches, co-production, and inclusion.
As a psychological professional, you will offer assessments, formulations, and evidence-based interventions for people with a range of mental health difficulties.
As the posts sits within community services, you will offer supervision and training to both psychological professionals as well as multidisciplinary colleagues.
There will also be opportunities to build close working relationships with our local community of psychological professionals working into other teams.
Your career progression is important to us and we will provide local opportunities to develop leadership and supervision skills.For exampled the new SuPER clinic led by Prof Kathy Greenwood (see attached information) and Compassionate Resilience Group trials for cPTSD led by Prof Nick Grey and Deborah Lee

Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology [or its equivalent for those trained before 1996 or outside the UK*] as approved by the HCPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychologyMasters degree (with the award of the British Psychological Society qualification in forensic psychology or equivalent).
Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings
Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology.
Experience of teaching, training and/or supervisionExperience of the application of applied psychology in different cultural contexts and experience of working within a multicultural framework
Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care.
Knowledge of guidance and legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.
Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialist psychological therapies in specific difficult to treat groups (e.g. personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities etc
