    Description

    The Senior Manager of Data and Analytics will lead a team of engineers and analysts enabling insights that support business initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, modeling, and visualization. They will be driving the adoption of data governance, automation, and analytics across the business, identifying trends, and supporting decision-making. Additionally, the role will support the global 24/7 operation and integration of all Siteimprove systems. This role will lead continuous enhancement of our Business Intelligence solution, already integrating data from diverse sources and delivering over one hundred reports to dozens of users. Finally, the position will involve direct collaboration with multiple business leaders, identifying data and processes to track business performance and underscore potential issues and inefficiencies.

    What you will be doing

    • Project Initiation/Management
    • Develop relationships with business stakeholders across the globe
    • Gather and document technical and non-technical requirements
    • Present plans, progress, and deliverables to C-suite, board-level and external partners
    • Crystalize requirements into agile projects that quickly deliver measurable benefits
    • Prioritize outcomes over process and chasing perfection
    • Balance short-term ad-hoc/support requests against major long-term projects
    • Advocate good data governance and data-driven decision-making
    • Drive initiatives to improve the quality of data captured and stored, bringing down-stream benefits
    • Highlight operational inefficiencies with suggested actions
    • Data & Analytics Leadership
    • Survey the current data and analytics landscape across the business
    • Identify opportunities to deploy data, improving business performance and customer experience
    • Analyze raw data and source system data models
    • Build Quality Assurance processes to identify and resolve data issues at source
    • Structure dashboards, reports, and KPIs for ease of discovery and navigation
    • Monitor and increase user adoption of deliverables
    • Ensure correct governance of code (version control) and data (visibility of sensitive data, GDPR compliance)
    • Ensure documentation (data dictionaries, data models) is maintained and of appropriate detail
    • Team Leadership
    • Deploy a robust project management philosophy and toolset (tracking, reporting)
    • Shape and lead a small, highly skilled team of engineers and analysts
    • Comfortable leading a team under a hybrid working model, delivering work across continents

    What we will require of you

    • 5-8 years of previous experience in manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data
    • 3-5 years of previous experience leading a technical team using a flat/matrix management structure
    • Created and delivered a business data/analytics strategy within an organization over many years
    • Delivered structured suites of reports to diverse user groups, ensuring proper governance of sensitive data (using techniques such as row-level security)
    • Designed dashboards and reports using proven design principles and modern tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
    • Knowledge of data modeling, ETL best practice, and data warehousing concepts
    • SQL Mastery
    • Experience integrating data from multiple, loosely connected systems

    GBP 89,300-115,500 per-year-salary

    Base pay will depend on the position, individual qualifications, market, and other operational business needs.
