    Luxury Travel Sales Consultant

    Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
    Hours: Fulltime, permanent
    Salary: £23,400 – £27,000 per annum

    Our client is looking for a Luxury Travel Sales Consultant to join their well established and growing team in Cheltenham

    You will design tailor-made FIT programmes whilst monitoring programme costings and itineraries set up by other team members.The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Travel Sales along with excellent knowledge and a keen interest in travel.

    Key Responsibilities of a Luxury Travel Sales Consultant

    • Design tailor-made FIT programmes for sales offices or travel advisors.
    • Check the feasibility of programme itineraries and make suggestions as appropriate.
    • Cost each programme accurately, competitively and to agreed SLA's.
    • Monitor programme costings and itineraries set up by other team members.
    • Meet or exceed set and agreed turnaround, sales, conversion, and margin targets.
    • Follow up on and secure all new business quotes.
    • Ensure reservation systems are accurate and maintained.
    • Identify new products and opportunities to aid existing and new client sales.
    • Build and maintain excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships.
    • Review appropriate documentation before it is sent to all suppliers.
    • Ensure appropriate terms are sent to clients and deposits taken.
    • Create financial statements and ensure payment is received by the agreed date.
    • General office duties such as answering telephone and responding to queries.

    Key Skills of a Luxury Travel Sales Consultant

    • A passion for travel
    • Previous experience in a sales role with the ability to exceed targets.
    • Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Can-do mentality with a positive persona.
    • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
    • A second European language is advantageous.
    • Sound knowledge of geographical and general knowledge of Europe is advantageous.
