    Geotechnical Engineer - Stonecross, WarringtonWould you like to join one of the UK's Best Big Companies as awarded by Best Companies? If so, we are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to support the Senior on the SSEN OHL project.

    Support may also be required by the wider engineering team to facilitate Murphy projects and tendersWhat you will be doing:

    Facilitate subsequent design scoping works, Site reconnaissance experience requiredField experience with a Geotechnical Contractor undertaking bore holes samples, core penetration tests and trial holes.

    Design of geotechnical investigation worksInput into the management of ground risk at all stages of projects from concept through to construction and installationScheduling of ground investigation worksCommercial evaluations of ground investigation quotesSupervision of ground investigation contractorsAssessment of geotechnical reports and ability to provide interpretive reportsUnderstanding of geotechnical, geophysical and topographical survey techniquesInterpretation of factual ground investigation reportsDesktop geotechnical studies to support routing of pipelinesGood client communication skillsWho are we looking for?Ability to propose technical solutions for trenchless crossing designsAbility to produce technical specifications for ground investigation including bills of quantitiesAbility to produce technical reports that are clear and conciseAbility to produce feasibility and FEED studies to support trenchless activities within the companyAbility to produce geotechnical designs for foundations, retaining walls, sheet piled cofferdams and slope/trench stabilityTemporary works experienceAwareness of pipeline installation techniques on long linear infrastructure projectsFamiliar with piling design, techniques and applicationsFamiliar with authoring bodies and their standards/regulations, e.g.

    EA, SEPA, Natural England, Crown Estates, Local Authorities, Highways England, Network Rail, National Grid etc...Understanding of GIS software and pipeline routing designWhat we offer?Stimulating working environment.
