Description
We have a unique opportunity for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to play a significant role in the growth of our Warrington design office.
As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build your own team and provide support and advice to the wider Richter business and clients as well as acting as task lead on projects.
You will lead or assist in the delivery of Geotechnical input to projects. You will also be required to provide technical guidance and support to less experienced junior engineers and technicians. Communicate with the Client and with other engineers to understand project requirements.Direct research and investigations to develop a clear understanding of the ground conditions at a project site.
Direct the planning, specification and management of site investigations and laboratory testing programmes.
Collate and analyse field and laboratory data and undertake analyses related to the project design.
Supervise teams in the development of project specific design solutions.
Develop Client relationships and manage the training and development of other team members.
Attend sites and project where required to assist with site inspections and surveys.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the agreed budget and timescales.
Oversee the monitoring costs and programming of projects and ensure information is provided to ensure prompt invoicing of fees.
BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering or a Geology related subject.A minimum of 15 years' experience in geotechnical design and construction and a good working knowledge of ground conditions in the United Kingdom.
Significant experience of geotechnical analysis design of earthworks and structures for example shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls and slopes.
The ability to lead teams working on projects.Good verbal and written English.
