    Description

    We are looking for an administrator/customer service person to join a fabulous team on a temporary 12 month contract (covering maternity leave) to start as soon as possible.


    Hours:
    Monday to Friday 9-5pm 37 hours per week

    Pay:
    £12.21 per hour

    General duties will include:
    Receiving telephone enquiries from the public, customers and officers in relation to services provided by the Works Unit.
    Providing quotes for new business enquires, discussing customer accounts and trying to promote the Trade Waste service where appropriate.

    Support trade waste administration, including logging of all customer interactions, process new or cancelled contracts, organise delivery or removal of trade containers and process timely invoices.

    Track vehicles to swiftly assist with ad-hoc enquiries and missed collections (customers, colleagues and crews)
    Take responsibility and ownership for customers' accounts, ensuring that account information is as correct and up-to-date as possible.

    Take responsibility to chase debt owed to the authority, upon instruction by Debtors of non-payment put customers 'on-stop' lists for operatives.

    Provide general admin assistance to the Works Unit, covering for absent staff and using various IT systems as directed by the Business Support Manager.

    Assisting with investigating complaints relating to the Trade Waste Service. Work with Supervisors on trade service failures, agree failures, agree resolutions and see through solutions to problems.

    Desirable skills/experience:
    Experience of dealing with customers and staff is a must. Understanding customer expectations and experience of meeting customer needs as priority at all times.
    Good verbal and written communication skills. Good telephone manner and customer service skills.
    Computer literacy, competent use of MS Office programs, keyboard skills plus database experience.
    Competent use of Excel is essential.
    Experience of working in a commercial sales or account management environment is desirable but not essential
