HR Advisor / HR Business Partner
Horsforth
Salary - £35,000 - £45,000 DOE + car allowance
Must have a driving licence

My client based in Horsforth are recruiting for a CIPD qualified HR Business Partner to work alongisde the Head of People Partnering.

You will deliver the best in class people operations service to their South region across 5 brands, circa 450 headcount (locatedin Manchester, Birmingham and the South Coast).

Travel in the UK is expected as part of this role and a full driving licence is essential.

You will be joining a HR team who are fun but hard working and taking the company on a transformational journey.

The purpose of the role is to lead on all local people operations and partner with the Head of People Partnering and Senior Leadership Team to embed people initiatives/plans derived from the wider Group people strategy.

The overall objective of this role isto enhance employee engagement, increase retention and drive positive communication and employee relations while overseeing the compliance of company employment policies and practices.


What you'll be doing:

  • To provide outstanding support on day to day HR matters and facilitate all aspects of the employee journey such as HR administration, recruitment, performance development, induction and onboarding, reward and wellbeing
  • Coach, influence and develop managers to support them in handling employee relation issues (disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management etc.) highlighting significant risk/complex cases to the Head of People Partnering
  • Partner with the local management teams to drive a high performance culture through the development of themselves and their teams and in challenging managers to new ways of working
  • Drive the performance management review process in your business areas by supporting with objective setting & performance measurement across the teams
  • Work with Managers to build skills and capabilities needed throughout the team, now and for the future through effective succession planning
  • To identify top talent by facilitating a talent matrix and supporting Managers with career conversations and the development of PDPs
  • Work with the L&D Business Partner
  • South to identify interventions that address development needs and enhance performance, in addition to ensuring your regions are engaged with our learning offering and are complaint in all areas of compliance learning
  • Support the Head of People Partnering with M&A activity and post M&A change activities (TUPE, restructuring)
  • Support the Group HRD and Head of People Partnering with ad hoc local HR projects to deliver the Group people strategy.
  • HR Advisor or HR business partnering experience supporting a business with achieving their goals and strategic aims through people.
  • An understanding of how to develop people and teams is desirable.
  • Solid working knowledge of employment law
  • Grit and resilience, able to work in a fastpaced business with constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to influence and demonstrate excellent coaching and facilitation skill.
  • A natural and demonstrable ability to build rapport and collaborative working relationships with stakeholder at all levels throughout the business.
  • Experience of extracting, collating and presenting statistical information
  • Project Management excellent planning and coordination skills
  • Willingness to work flexibly and provide cover and support
  • At least CIPD level 5 qualified
