- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Promote positive behavior management techniques and support students in developing social skills.
- Collaborate with the school team to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing and academic progress.
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs in a primary school setting.
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's education and personal development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Knowledge of relevant safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
