Birmingham based Client Accountant

Key responsibilities of a Client Accountant:

  • Management Fees correctly deducted and paid
  • Documenting of processes, and review
  • Fee raising/uploads
  • Client VAT reporting
  • Ensure database is up to date, ie Clients/Properties/Tenants
  • Demand raising to timetable (quarterly/monthly etc)
  • Adhoc tenant charges/making amendments/ensuring all tenants transactions are correct.
  • Liaison with processing teams (A/P, Treasury, Credit Control), PMs, Admins
  • Periodic reporting to Clients with supporting documentation and transfer of funds to landlord.
  • Manage and maintain the Service charge funds of each property under remit
  • Manage and maintain the property and tenant (lease) database for all clients under remit
  • Ensure full understanding of all current, updated and newly created Internal Procedures that relate to the accounts function
Skills, qualities & experience of a Client Accountant

  • Excellent attention to details skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong team player
  • Experience in Property Management Accounting is preferable but not essential
  • Excellent accounting/financial skills
  • Resilient and driven individual
  • Ability to work on own with limited supervision.
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
