    Estates Operative - Shift

    Are you ready to make a difference in a dynamic educational environment? Preston College is looking for a passionate and skilled Estate Operative to join our Estates Team. As part of our team, you will maintain the college campus to ensure high quality and safe teaching and learning environments for our learners, staff and college partners.

    What we are looking for

    You will have a knack for DIY and a passion for keeping working and learning areas safe and secure, whilst ensuring that all relevant college policies and procedures are adhered to.

    You will actively contribute to our college commitment to sustainability through your projects, and look to continually improve our facilities through reactive, planned and preventative maintenance.

    Experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential as no two days will be the same.

    The successful candidate will also demonstrate, good interpersonal skills and is able to work as part of team as well as on their own.

    Job Title: Estates Operative – Shift

    Hours of work will be on a weekly rota basis in line with the shift patterns below:

    6am – 2pm

    2pm-10pm

    10am-6pm

    Salary: Starting Salary £22,836 (SCP10) p.a. There will also be a potential for pay progression up to £24,157 (SCP 14) p.a. over a five year period , with additional payments for out of hours callout which is linked to the rotated shift pattern.

    Hours: 37 hours per week (1.0FTE)

    CLOSING DATE: Friday 17th May 2024 at Noon

    INTERVIEW DATE: Thursday 23rd May 2024
