    Description

    Westlakes Recruit is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a background in Nuclear to join their team on a permanent basis in Bridgewater, Bristol.

    • Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle of the Project.
    • Manage a set area within the Balance of Plant (BOP) on the HPC project.
    • Drive the project as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe delivery of areas on time and to the highest safety standards.
    • Ensure timely production of deliverables to avoid construction delays.
    • Maintain Configuration Control across Works Information scope.
    • Monitor compliance to codes, practices, standards, and specifications.
    • Raise technical queries and monitor progress.

    Qualifications:

    • Relevant degree in construction, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or HND/HNC in these fields (desirable)
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Major Project Engineering role (essential)
    • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport
    • Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS or higher.
    • Professional accreditation (preferred)
    • Knowledge of Navis Works (desirable)
    • Knowledge of NEC ECC Contract is desirable
    • Competent in basic IT packages

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in safely delivering large scale construction or engineering projects.
    • Experience in heavy industry or nuclear sectors is beneficial, as well as experience in Joint Venture or Alliance environments.
    • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
