    Description

    This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Python Developer to join an innovative business, working with cutting edge technology as part of a small, Agile team.     Responsibilities

    • Ownership of architectural designs & solutions.
    • Development of cutting-edge cloud products.
    • Guiding a variety of exciting projects.
    • Working closely with the wider technical teams in both our Cambridge and London offices, (no travelling required.)
    • Support and mentor more junior team members.
    • Push boundaries within existing technology, while also creating and implementing new technology to achieve the best all-round solutions.

    Requirements

    • Higher Degree in Computer Science, Engineering / similar or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum five years hands-on Python experience in a commercial setting, demonstrating involvement across the entire development life cycle.
    • Expertise in at least one popular Python framework.
    • Linux / Unix experience.
    • Experience writing automated tasks.
    • Familiarity with defining and implementing API's.
    • Experience writing unit tests.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
    • Familiarity with front-end technologies (such as JavaScript and HTML5).
    • Experience with Django, Boto3, AWS would be beneficial.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities, an out of the box thinker.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Great organisational and time management abilities.
    • A strong self-starter, with the confidence to lead a small team.
    • A passion for Virtual Production or Mo-Sys technologies would be beneficial.

    Interview Process

    Our interviews are quite informal and conversational, generally carried out over a 3-stage process. To help us learn more about your workplace behaviours and preferences, you will also be invited to complete a short Predictive Index (PI) Behavioural and Cognitive Assessment. Depending on the position, you may also be requested to undertake a technical assessment. The final stage normally involves a visit at the office to meet with senior members of the management team and get a feel for where you will be working.
