    Description
    Job Title – Life & Disability Underwriter
    Contract – Permanent
    An award-winning insurer providing health insurance, income protection and life insurance are seeking a Life & Disability Underwriter. 100% home working or hybrid working available.

    The role will be to review and assess applications as well as medical and financial evidence for life and income protection polices and approving new business within an agreed authority level.

    Excellent organisational and prioritisations skills, your ability to juggle multiple priorities will enable you to build great team relationships and help you coach less experienced colleagues.

    The role will give you an opportunity to demonstrate your great underwriting skills, including working on: Substandard cases and financial underwriting, private medical insurance, approving all new business and increase applications reinstatements and existing business terms reviews
    Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues, medical professionals Financial Advisers and members.
    Highly motivated self-starter with an understanding of the insurance industry
    2 + Years life & disability underwriting experience.
