    Early Years Leader - Ultimate Holiday Camps - Davenies Prep School, Beaconsfield

    £94.33 - £139.46 (Including Holiday Pay, based on an 9.5 hour day) Pay is calculated on age, experience and qualifications.

    The Specifics

    Reporting to: Camp Manager

    Contract: Seasonal work during school holidays.

    Hours: 8.00am – 6.00pm on weekdays. Full season or part season roles possible.

    Overview of Role

    Our Early Years Leader supervises the Early Years program at camp, creating a fun, engaging, and caring environment. Leading activities like sports, arts, crafts, and games for the youngsters, ensuring they follow educational requirements with a focus on participation and quality.

    With guidance from the Camp Manager, you will be the main contact for the young campers, ensuring their well-being and providing top-notch care. Coordinating with the Camp Manager, you are responsible for meeting all Ofsted standards and communicating with parents.

    Working within a 1:8 ratio, you will lead and support the Early Years team to deliver high-quality childcare, whether working solo or in a team.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise a fun and engaging program for the campers, meeting EYFS standards.
    • Organize and lead sports, arts, crafts, and games for the kids, focusing on participation and enjoyment.
    • Lead and support the Early Years team.
    • Ensure Ofsted standards are met at all times.
    • Act as the main point of contact for parents.
    • Handle administrative tasks and support the welfare of the children.
    • Collaborate with the Camp Manager to promote child welfare.
    • Engage with the children outside of scheduled activities.
    • Provide high-quality childcare tailored to individual needs.
    • Uphold company standards and act as a role model for the children.
    • Adhere to all camp policies and procedures.
    • Perform additional duties as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum Level 3 education in Early Years/Childcare or Primary Education.
    • Experience working with 4- and 5-year-olds.
    • Ability to engage children in activities.
    • Organizational and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Team player willing to take on responsibility.
    • Passionate about working with children.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Some management experience.
    • Experience leading a group of children.
    • Paediatric First Aid certification.
