- Sensory and therapy rooms
- Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, Low self-esteem and other complex needs.
- Work 1:1 or in small group sessions to help guide and support children.
- Encourage the development of social skills and support students' individual needs.
- Provide academic and pastoral support.
- Liaise with the class teacher, SLT and parent's/ guardians regarding child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.
- Build trust and relationships with students.
- Hold a degree in Psychology, Criminology or Sociology
- Hold qualifications in Counselling.
- Hold a degree, NVQ or CACHE in Childcare.
- PECS or Makaton is desired but not essential.
- Patient, calm and resilient approach.
- Motivated and dedicated in supporting children with complex needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of Maths and English
- Positive and interactive approach.
