The key responsibility is to support the UHN Chief Digital Information Officer with day-to-day digital operational matters, delivering the UHN Digital Strategy, helping progress towards our UHN vision encapsulated in our Dedicated to Excellence strategy.

Collaborate with other Digital and IT leaders across the health and social care system, working to ensure integration to support the UHN Digital Strategy.
Develop a high performing team, embracing Agile methodologies, inclusive people strategies and a user centred approach to the work the team does.
Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer ensure the Clinical Divisions have access to accurate and timely clinical care intelligence to support operational delivery of services and prioritisation of resources.
Utilising the principles and tools of the UHN developing quality improvement system and ensure the digital and information services provide appropriate support to facilitate continuous improvement.
Promote the implementation and adoption of the UHN Digital Strategy, in a high complex environment with differing stakeholder needs and priorities, relying on substantial influencing and negotiating skills to reach an appropriate solution.
Building effective relationships with operational services to ensure the broader implications of the business and impact are widely understood whilst balancing the need to innovate to lead digital transformation.
Educated to Masters level with a degree or equivalent experience and competencies or extensive relevant senior experience.
Evidence of continuing professional development including management studies to masters level or above or equivalent experience
Qualified at practitioner level of a recognised programme/project management methodology
Agile development qualification, AgilePM, AgileBA, ScrumMaster or equivalent experience
ITIL Expert level qualification
Track record of delivery at Director/Senior management level, including exposure at Board
Track record of delivering large scale change and knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and evidence
Experience in creating integrated digital platforms of online and offline solutions and asset management
Experience of changing an organisation from legacy ways of working to successfully applying agile methodologies
Experience of working at senior level in a large complex organisation (in or outside the NHS) leading on digital, IT and information services
Examples of creation and delivery of innovative digital solutions
Able to interpret complex data and information to inform decision making at Executive level
Able to take difficult and challenging decisions that support strategic aims and long-term vision
Able to create / shape innovative strategic vision and plans for the best possible long-term benefit of patients, the organisation and health and care system
Experience of building staff capacity and capability
