Rare opportunity for a specialist Tax Adviser to join the in-house Partnership tax team of this global professional services firm in Glasgow.

This is a career-enhancing opportunity for an ambitious individual with experience in personal/partnership tax, general practice, or related accounting remit to broaden their technical and professional exposure within a dynamic business.

This is a specialist tax team providing global tax compliance, reporting, risk management and tax advisory strategic tax advice to the Partnership.

This role will have a tax compliance and reporting focus, with opportunity and potential to progress towards working with UK and International tax advisory.

UK tax knowledge/experience is therefore essential; however training and support will be provided on US/International matters.

Reporting to Senior Management, and with the support and assistance of tax colleagues, key responsibilities include:

Preparing personal tax reserve calculations for Partners
Supporting team with preparation of UK partner income tax returns
Preparing taxable profit allocations for nonUK resident partner returns
Support with tax compliance and reporting of various geographical locations for individuals and corporates. Connecting and communicating with local specialists.
Monthly reporting and reconciling tax accounts
Monitoring tax payments across global locations working closely with local finance contacts
Support the preparation of nonresident US tax returns
Providing ad hoc support to senior management and partnership

Ideally you will be a qualified Accountant or Tax professional (ATT/CTA/ACCA/CA or QBE) with UK tax compliance experience. Strong Excel skills are essential, as well as excellent technical tax and/or accounting knowledge.

Overall, you must be self-motivated and eager to develop new skills in a fast-paced and exciting new role, and this team are well equipped to support with this.
