Area Sales Person

There has never been a more exciting time to join the team. Smallridge Bros Ltd have a requirement for a full time Area Sales Manager for the Barnstaple depot. The salary is dependent on experience and does include our generous commission and bonus structure. This would be an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for a long-term career working for a rewarding company.

Job Function:

The role is full-time, based at our Barnstaple depot in North Devon, within a dedicated sales area. Responsible for the sale of new and used agricultural equipment to new and existing customers within the dedicated area. Some sales experience / negotiating skills are an advantage but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Essential Duties:

1. Represents Smallridge Bros' in the sale of machinery to customers

2. Follows the sales process to achieve high sales performance in conjunction with the sales tools available from John Deere.

3. Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment

4. Maintains current knowledge of financing options.

5. Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.

6. Ensures a smooth delivery to customers and follow-up care.

7. Builds strong and loyal relationships with customers.

Skills & Qualifications:

· 1+ years equipment sales experience would be an advantage, but not essential.

· A hands-on approach

· A good understanding of farm machinery and agriculture

· Excellent communication skills

· Good IT skills and a basic understanding of agricultural technology (manufacturer training will be provided)

· Be a self-motivated individual who can build long term relationships with customers

· Have a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies

· Have an ability to solve problems in a timely manner
