Description
Technical Support Specialist required to work in a small familiar company based in Oxford


Initially spending 3 days a week working on site at a major client (60+ PCs + 9 Servers), attending other clients and working in the Wallingford office.

Primarily responsible for Customer IT Level1/Level2 support.

The position requires someone with at least 5 years experience in IT, with good knowledge of Microsoft Windows environments, including Servers.

Ideally with experience of both Windows 7/8/10/11 and Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 operating systems. To work in these environments requires some understanding of server components, such as Active Directory, DHCP,DFS and DNS.

An understanding of networkbasics, with the ability to troubleshoot with simple network tools such as ping and nslookup is important.

A knowledge and understanding of Ethernet networks, Switches, Firewalls, Routers and WiFi is would be a big bonus


The position requires someone with the ability and discipline to work on their own when required, and someone who have the want to develop their skills and help a small company grow and suceed.

You must be a driver with access to a vehicle and have excellent communication skills.

Ideally a graduate or similarly qualified person.

Someone who is ambitious and might see this position as an opportunity to fast track their knowledge of IT, and potentially even become a stakeholder in the company.

A valid driving license and vehicle is required, with mileage expensed
