    Head Chef | Watford, London

    Looking for a Head chef to join our events, catering and picnic company for the Summer 2024 (and opportunity for permanent too)

    We would like someone with Head chef experience and ability to run a busy kitchen over the summer. In our kitchen we make delicious seasonal fresh sandwiches, cakes, pastries, canapes, salads, grazing boards and high teas for both outside catering and picnic events. We need someone who will easily be able to join in as well as lead the team, help create and cost menus as well as being able to adapt recipes to all dietaries. Everything we do is homemade, fresh with a special touch. Our picnic setups are really unique which include flowers, games, tables, blankets, pillows and umbrellas

    As mentioned this is a really busy job with lots of different facets and things to think about but it is equally fun and incredibly rewarding.     Here are a few essential skills needed for the role:

    Head chef experience

    Desire to bring your knowledge and creativity

    -Lead a team to fulfil multiple picnic events as well as hampers in one day

    -Experience in ordering and suppliers

    Be happy working mornings, weekends and at events

    Be a positive, outgoing person who will bring lots of energy to the job and ultimately want to have fun doing what you love

    As the head chef at The Luxury Picnic Company we are looking for a candidate able to help with the daily running's of the kitchen

    Cooking and packaging food for picnics

    Preparing food for corporate events (onsite and offsite cooking) and potentially working at some of these events as a chef

    Potentially have baking experience and ability to decorate cakes and cupcakes

    To be able to run the logistics of the kitchen including deliveries, collections, orders, stocktake and supplier liaison

    Sociable working hours: work week will tend to be 5 days a week, 9/10 hour shift including a break, 7am - 5pm
