    Head Chef

    The Black Dog Beer House In Brentford is looking for an experienced and innovative Head Chef to lead our kitchen team.

    This role will suit a candidate with a solid background in Independent Gastro Pubs or restaurants.

    We are looking for a candidate who wants to become a key player in a small independent business looking to expand in the near future.

    The Black Dog Beer House has become a very popular much-loved local and destination pub with a very strong reputation for great food and drink, boasting stellar reviews across the board, especially for our raved about Sunday roasts.

    You will be working closely with the Manager & owners to maintain and build on the solid reputation already gained, and become a key part of the operations in this up-and-coming West London location.

    The role will allow the successful candidate the freedom to experiment and harness their skills and love of food with new menu dishes & weekly specials whilst maintaining the standard and improving on some of our very popular signature dishes already in place.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Previous experience as Head or Senior Sous Chef, preferably from a Gastro Pub or Restaurant.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
    • A Natural team player with effective communication skills and solid kitchen management.
    • Seeking to continually grow within the industry
    • The ability to maintain and follow recipes, standards, and guidelines whilst having the skills and desire & creativity to create new dishes and improve on the procedures and standards already in place.
    • Good health & safety awareness
    • Strong stock control experience with the skills to minimize wastage.
    • A true leader with the ability to inspire & encourage your fellow kitchen colleagues and build a strong team.
    • Knowledge of various cooking methods, cuisines, ingredients, and procedures
    • Time-management skills
    • Able to work under pressure with a calm disposition in close quarters
