- Provide expertise on marine risk for various vessel and terminal types along with their operators.
- Engage with vessels, terminals, and operators through inspections and audits.
- Serve as the main contact point for incidents, overseeing Incident Investigations reports and taking necessary actions.
- Manage relationships with commercial, regulatory, 3rd party, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor performance of assigned vessels, maintain relationships with senior officers, and review inspections and feedback.
- Provide input for process and tool enhancements within Marine Assurance.
- Lead marine projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Participate in emergency response and industry advocacy roles.
- Collaborate globally with Superintendents and vetting specialists.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and Chevron's principles.
- Be proficient in using Chevron's proprietary system, PAVIS.
- Senior Merchant Navy Deck Officer or Engineering certificate of competency.
- Experience in Marine operations and/or Marine terminal operations.
- Knowledge of industry guidelines and standards for marine transportation and terminal operations.

Chevron is currently looking for candidates to join the team as a Marine Assurance Superintendent. Applications are welcome until June 7th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (GMT).
This role is a key part of the Marine Assurance team, dedicated to managing marine risk related to 3rd party tankers, inland and offshore vessels, marine terminals, and their operators. The goal is to provide valuable, safe, reliable, and efficient marine transportation solutions for customers.
