- Remedial Work:
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing fire doors to identify and address issues.
- Execute remedial carpentry work to ensure fire doors meet safety standards and regulations.
- Replace or repair components such as frames, hinges, seals, and door closers as necessary.
- Installation:
- Install new fire doors in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure precise fitting and alignment of doors, frames, and hardware.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to integrate fire doors seamlessly into building structures.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Maintain a deep understanding of relevant building codes, fire safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct quality checks to guarantee the durability and effectiveness of installed or remediated fire doors.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and compliance documentation.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other team members.
- Provide guidance and advice on fire door solutions, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to streamline processes and enhance overall project efficiency.
- Proven experience as a Fire Door Carpenter, with a focus on remedials and installations.
- In-depth knowledge of fire door regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Carpentry qualifications or relevant certifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in carpentry work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
