Fire Door Project Manager

Fire Doors Rite are looking for a Project Manager to successfully manage works on site. At present the need is at our upcoming Bury St Edmunds MOD site, however we are a growing business with works on various MOD, Government & commercial sites over the UK, therefore the successful candidate must be willing to travel and work away at times if not located near to site.

The successful candidate will manage works including: Fire Door Installation; Fire Door Maintenance and Fire Stopping on various MOD & commercial sites.

The Position will suit a Project Manager with experience as a Carpenter or a Fire Door Installer, or knowledge of the Passive Fire Industry whom:

·holds a clean driving License.

·Clean Criminal Record for DBS Check & Status (a requirement to access MOD sites)

·asbestos awareness certificate in date or willing to carry out a new one

·valid CSCS Card – at operatives own expense

.SMSTS or SSSTS Qualification or Project Management Qualifications

·willing and able to work as part of a team

.good Telephone Manners and communication Skills

.good Computer Skills with Strong Understanding of MS Word & Excel Skills

·Will be required to fill out security forms with personal information in order to achieve Security Clearance Pass for access to bases

The role will include liasing with client representatives, Fire Doors Rite Compliance Manager & Directors as well as Office Manager and administrators. Training where applicable will be available from time to time from the company, along with correct Fire Door Installation & Fire Door Maintenance techniques, and Fire Doors Rite Ltd systems of work.

The Ideal Candidate will be a real people person, with a confident and professional approach to the works identified. The need to work as a team with Fire Doors Rite Operatives and ensure a seamless, fire compliant and Safe systems of work is imperative, and the successful candidate must abide to all H & S Regulations on the base throughout the works.

As more MOD sites become active, transport may be provided via the company with other operatives also working away. Accommodation will also be provided with a daily subsistence allowance, if required to work away.

We are seeking a Project Manager to be employed or on a self-employed basis and are open to negotiation on hourly rate and benefits depending on experience.
