The Client

Harmonic Finance are proud to be working with one of Europe's top tech success stories, who are looking for a Head of Finance to lead their UK finance function.

Leading the quick commerce (Q-commerce) space globally, utilizing their unique smart technology,they're able to make 100,000s of deliveries a week as they drive towards profitability.

With a number of high profile fundraises over the past few years, they've topped this with a more than £500m Series E at the beginning of this year valuing them at more than $10bn ('decacorn'), involving two of the world's top four VC funds, which has soonbeen followed by the acquisitions of two of their closest competitors.

These strategic decisions have lead to them now being at the forefront of this space and as the first mover, with significantly more VC funding than their nearest competitor and now consolidating the market, the end goal is an IPO in the next 4 years.

The Role

The Head of Finance will report directly to the CFO for Europe and will manage and develop a world class finance function, while driving insight-based decision making.

The Head of Finance will also have significant exposure to the wider Senior Leadershipteam ensuring exceptional Business Partnering support, KPI analytics Board reporting.

Leading a team with experienced Financial Controllers and a Tax Manager, the Head of Finance will also have ultimate responsibility for the effective day-to-day running of the UK function ensuring robust controls, governance and improved analysis.

Implement world class finance processes and systems
Manage and build out a high performing finance team
Lead and consolidate the team's insightful analysis to support strategic business decision making
Maintain tight control of cash and financial controls through effective management and build out of processes
Review of financial statements and management accounts ensuring insightful commentary and analysis
Partner with colleagues within Finance and other departments (eg Sales, Marketing, Tech) to accurately report business performance and provide recommendations (KPIs and metrics)
Oversee statutory and tax compliance matters, such as the annual audit
Oversee the implementation of a new ERP system (SAP)
Extensive financial reporting to the Board
Support on future funding rounds
Support stakeholders with various adhoc reports and analysis
