    Job Title: Assistant Practitioner at Cambridge City North Neighbourhood Team

    Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is on the lookout for a part-time Assistant Practitioner to join their team. Based in Cambridge, you'll work alongside physiotherapists and occupational therapists providing therapy to patients with physical disabilities.

    Main Duties:

    • We need someone self-motivated to work in the Community Therapy team and deliver top-notch care to our patients.
    • Support patients with exercises, daily living activities, and provide necessary equipment for independence.
    • Collaborate with registered professionals, assess patients, and manage risks within the community.
    • Our ideal candidate is dedicated, accountable, and can handle pressure when needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement therapy interventions, exercise programs, and mobility aids.
    • Ensure safe equipment use and maintain it properly.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and carers.
    • Establish good relationships with patients and colleagues, making sure patients understand their treatment.
    • Identify and refer patients to other services when necessary.
    • Engage in continuous professional development and attend relevant training courses.

    Requirements:

    Education/Qualification

    Essential

    • Health and Social Care qualification.
    • Good general education.
    • Willingness to undergo necessary training.
    • Desirable

    • Certificate in Care Award.
    • Experience in falls prevention.
    • Experience

    • Clinical experience in a rehabilitation or therapy environment.
    • Desirable

    • Prior experience in a community setting.
