- Act as the primary point of contact within the assigned group for technical guidance on tasks assigned to designers. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the composite design team.
- Lead the composite design process, from conceptualization to detailed design, ensuring the integration of innovative and high-performance solutions. Utilize their expertise to contribute to the development of lightweight, durable, and aerodynamically efficient composite components. Responsible for (if required) the final sign off on the design release within their group. Cover the reliability needs for designed parts, in collaboration with the related involved departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, concept, and other engineering disciplines, to integrate composite design seamlessly into the overall car design. Work closely with the Composite Design Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines. Work closely with suppliers and external partners to source high-quality materials and components. Maintain and develop an effective communication with all the other departments.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the composite design team. Stay at the forefront of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and industry advancements. Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in composite design, particularly in high-performance automotive or motorsports industries.
- In-depth knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, and structural analysis.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Flexible and can do attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
- Initiative and Innovation.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
