Sugarman Education are working in partnership with a fantastic, supportive School based in the Heart of Sutton, Southwest London. The school has been known for taking on Graduates and helping them develop their career as a teacher, with experienced mentors who have a wealth of experience who are always on hand to help and guide you.

Your responsibilities include you assisting the class teacher with delivering the lesson so that all students understand the curriculum, identifying students who might need extra assistants in activities and 1-2-1 work might be needed for tasks like reading and writing – as well as general TA (Teaching Assistant) duties.

The position will also involve working in small groups with young learners, provide support to struggling students and act as an additional responsible adult within the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those with little experience as our schools have fantastic support mentors who are happy to support you throughout your new role.

The ideal candidates will

The role involves assisting with individual pupils or across a class with other support assistants.

Assisting with promoting good behaviour and kindness and helping to deliver academic work.

To treat children equally and with respect, whilst creating positive boundaries.

Ensure a good relationship with parents and colleagues to create a protective environment so that children feel safe.

Helping learners understand lessons and educational activity delivered by the teacher.
