Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality assessment and treatment services to individuals with communication, swallowing, and related disorders.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare or community setting, enabling individuals to improve their functional communication skills and achieve their maximum potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders using standardized tests and clinical observations.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions to address communication and swallowing impairments.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions, using techniques such as language stimulation, articulation therapy, dysphagia management, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Educate and train patients, families, and caregivers on strategies for improving communication and swallowing abilities.Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, adhering to professional standards and legal requirements.
Participate in regular clinical supervision, professional development activities, and continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
Contribute to the development and implementation of speech and language therapy service standards, policies, and procedures.
Supervise and mentor speech and language therapy assistants, students, and junior therapists as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy/Pathology from an accredited institution.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical or community setting.
Excellent knowledge of speech and language therapy principles, practices, and interventions.
Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice.
